Benefits of the G-Loc ceramic – Kevlar based brake pad
- Much lower dusting than comparable carbon-metallic pads. What dust they do make is very light-colored and not as destructive to your wheel’s finish.
- The frequency that the ceramic material vibrates at is beyond the range of human hearing so you will notice relatively lower noise with even the most aggressive Carbotech race compounds.
- The slight compressibility of the Kevlar material gives G-Loc its legendary modulation and release characteristics. No on/off switch!
- Using Kevlar instead of steel strings makes a stronger pad, able to withstand greater abuse
- Ceramic gives the flat torque curve these pads are known for. Note the very small difference between cold and hot friction levels in the chart
- Ceramic gives equal friction to a carbon iron-based pad but much less rotor wear.
